My two favorite seasons are Spring and Fall. The colors of Spring and cool refreshing breeze of Fall, whats not to love? Fall fashion is also another reason I look forward to the season. It might be the only time you can get away with sweater and shorts or shorts and boots.
We spent the day at Jonamac Orchard in Malta, Illinois. This is a beautiful location far from the hustle and bustle of Chicago. There is something about the peace and quiet of farmland…
This particular Saturday there were local food trucks in the area and needless to say; we ate. After stuffing our faces with fries, hot dogs, and tacos from the food trucks we headed to the bakery. We continued the tradition of stuffing ourselves some more. This time with the freshly made apple cider donuts and the apple cider slushy (may not sound very appetizing, TRUST ME IT WAS!). There was a moment rest before heading over to the apples…
That first bite of a newly picked apple…
The look in my eyes should let you know that, that Golden Delicious well…. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
What screams “IT FALL” better than picking pumpkins? In my case, taking advantage of this beautiful scenery while parents and children enjoy this fun fall activity.
It’s clear that I fell in love with this particular lane. Who could resist?
Decided to take a break from the strenuous work of apple picking and picture taking.
Fall is upon us! I hope you find the time to partake of at least one of the many activities fall has to offer. Find a local Orchard near you and plan a fun day for the family. This particular Orchard offered apple picking, petting zoo, corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, a hay maze for younger children and wine tasting for the really really big kids.
